Education: Field Seminars, Teacher Trainings & Youth Camps | Murie Science & Learning Center

Educational Programs

At the Murie Science and Learning Center we specialize in programs that foster stewardship for national parks by providing access to science and research. We have something for everyone…kids, students, adults, and organized educational groups.

2012 Field Seminars
These courses are very popular and because our group sizes are limited to 10 individuals they can fill up quickly. We encourage anyone interested in these field seminars to register quickly. Professional development credit is available on all field seminars through the University of Alaska.

2012 Teacher Trainings
These courses are very popular and because our group sizes are limited to 9 individuals they can fill up quickly. We are offering four teacher trainings in 2012. These trainings experiment with activities, and discuss methods, tools, and resources. Professional development credit is provided by the University of Alaska.

MSLC Science Education Awards
Open to National Park Service employees (and partners through their NPS contacts), this award seeks to support interpretation and education that communicates resource issues, research, and resource management activities to variable audiences throughout the Arctic and Central Alaska Inventory & Monitoring Networks.

2012 Youth Camps
Dates will be announced soon for the Youth Camps in partnership with the Murie Science and Learning Center. These are fabulous opportunities to experience Denali National Park and Preserve including some overnight camping. Visit “Youth Camps” for more information.
