The Science of Fly Fishing
July 17-18, 2010 $230 (10% membership discount)
Fly-fishing is both a meditation and a science. From the end of our fly line, we will study the interplay of water hydraulics, stream ecology, entomology, and their combined effects on fish habitat. Join fly-fisherman and UAF lecturer Shann Jones for a hands-on exploration of fly tackle and tying, fly-fishing in local rivers, and the science that makes it all possible. Short indoor lectures will be accompanied by river and streamside instruction.
