
iMovie: Movie Making and Podcasting in Denali
June 7 - 9, 2011 $350 (10% membership discount)

Join Denali Borough School District's Technology Director Chris Romine to learn about iMovie and its use in the classroom for creating educational and rewarding stories. YouTube, TeacherTube, and other video sharing sites are being used in educational settings to convey compelling digital stories to the public. iMovie is a user friendly program that can provide a unique creative tool for enhancing learning and creativity by engaging students. We will discover how iMovies can help students demonstrate abstract concepts, tackle project-based learning, and create documentaries. Teachers will create iMovie projects during the training.
Accreditation The course fee includes one professional development credit (level 500) from the University of Alaska Anchorage. The 10% membership discount does not apply to the credit fee.
