Field Seminars

Each summer a full menu of active field seminars are offered through the Murie Science and Learning Center. These small-group courses and science workshops bring participants into the field to explore the subject matter ‘up-close and personal’. These courses are led by distinguished biologists, botanists, geologists, published authors and excellent naturalists that take participants on a behind-the-scenes exploration of our park lands.

 

Field Camp at the Teklanika River

Most field seminars are coordinated by Alaska Geographic and are based from the MSLC field camp in Denali. The field camp is situated along the Teklanika River and makes an excellent launching point for Denali exploration. Some courses are based in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve and coordinated by the Wrangell Mountains Center, see these courses further below.
